Soulful – Ruvimbo Jeche

SOULFUL

I hear a silent breath

That which is calling my soul.

I feel the urge

That which tells me I belong.

I know this thing

That which my heart rushes for.

From bone to bone a new energy is birthed

From cell to cell a new life I am gaining.

Deeper than my thoughts can take me I know I’m falling

Down in this drench I know I will make it.

What hands will give warmth to a cold heart?

What lips will speak to my dying soul?

What heart will speak to my doubting mind?

What soul will rush into my dark world?

What question will mother universe answer?

What wish will nature grant?

What passion of me will be satisfied?

What instinct in me will be proved wrong?

I’m slowly dancing in this room and it’s becoming warmer

The shadow I see is giving me light.

It’s drawing closer and is becoming clearer

Do dear it feels and more satisfying I presume.

Am I painting it right or my soul is losing it?

Can the alphabet tell or my soul will do it better?

Are my eyes deceiving me or my soul will point it for me?

Am I losing my soul or I have gotten the meaning of life again?
